Cold sores can occur in various areas, including the lips, nose, eyes, and eyebrows.

What to Expect
Following your cosmetic procedure, it's important to understand the natural healing phases your skin will undergo. This timeline provides a general overview of what to expect:
Days 1-3: Initial Response
-
Immediately following your procedure, you may experience some swelling and darkening of the treated area. This is a normal inflammatory response as your skin begins to heal.
-
The pigment may appear bolder or darker than anticipated due to oxidation and temporary swelling.
-
Apply any recommended ointments or creams sparingly to soothe the area.
-
Avoid touching, scratching, or rubbing the treated area to prevent irritation and ensure proper healing.
-
Some minor bruising may occur and should subside within a few days.
Days 4-7: Exfoliation and Healing
-
As your skin regenerates, you will notice scabbing and flaking. This is a natural part of the healing process.
-
Allow scabs to fall off naturally. Do not pick or scratch at them, as this can disrupt healing and potentially lead to scarring or pigment loss.
-
Your skin may feel tight or dry during this phase. Continue to follow recommended aftercare instructions, including gentle cleansing and moisturizing.
Days 8-14: Continued Healing
-
By the second week, the initial healing phase will begin to subside.
-
Most scabs will have naturally exfoliated, and the treated area may appear lighter in color.
-
Continue to keep the area clean and moisturized.
-
Avoid applying makeup to the treated area until it is fully healed.
Days 15-40: Pigment Integration and Final Results
-
While the most noticeable healing has occurred, the pigment will continue to settle into the deeper layers of your skin over the next few weeks.
-
Avoid harsh skincare products, exfoliants, and prolonged sun exposure, as these can affect the final pigment color.
-
The final results of your procedure will be more apparent by the end of this period.
-
A follow-up or touch-up session is often recommended to refine the results and ensure optimal color retention.
This timeline serves as a general guideline. Individual healing experiences may vary. Please consult your practitioner for personalized aftercare instructions and any concerns you may have during the healing process.
